At Fenestella, we work hard to make it easy for you to fall in love with the beautiful products we love, and even easier for you to take them home. Here’s how we make that shopping experience possible:

CONDITION OF ITEMS

Vintage. It’s what most of our products are, except for select items marked otherwise. Signs of wear come with the territory, even on vintage items described as in excellent condition. Personally, we look at it as added character. But if you have any questions or concerns about an item and/or its conditions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to share any photos and details to aid you in your pre-purchase experience. 

Factors beyond Fenestella’s control may affect the life expectancy and condition of our products. Those factors are, well, beyond our control. We do not offer a warranty on any vintage or refinished/reupholstered items. But when products are in our control, rest assured we give them the utmost care. 

Lastly, listed prices online or in the showroom do not include shipping, packaging or delivery, unless marked otherwise.

RETURNS

All sales are final. If you have any questions on a product or its condition, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are more than happy to share more photos and answer any questions you may have. And just a kind reminder, we do not offer any warranty on vintage and refinished/reupholstered products. 

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

At Fenestella, each item is handled, shipped, and delivered with respect and care. Shipping and delivery is offered throughout NY and the US (lower 48) with third party delivery providers who are ready to deliver your product with White Glove Delivery services. Deliveries and shipments will be invoiced separately and must be paid for in full before items make their way to you.

Completing a purchase with Fenestella means you acknowledge the responsibility of your item is under the third party delivery provider once it is picked up. 

LOCAL DELIVERY

We offer local delivery in Brooklyn, NYC, and surrounding areas through third party delivery providers for large items and local messengers for smaller and medium sized pieces. Deliveries will be invoiced separately and must be paid for in full before items make their way to you. And, kind reminder alert, the responsibility of your item is under the third party delivery provider once it is picked up. 

FED EX AND UPS DELIVERY

Yes, we do that too. When possible, pieces can be delivered through UPS or FedEx. Those eligible items will be shipped within 7 days of payment. Product insurance and/or signature confirmation is available upon request. Fenestella is not responsible for any FedEx or UPS shipping delays. If you need a product delivered by a specific date, we will happily assist you with booking expedited delivery. Shipments will be invoiced separately and must be paid for in full before items make their way to you.

Items may be returned back to us due to lack of signature upon arrival or incorrect delivery address. In such cases, we will have to re-charge a shipping fee in order to re-ship. 

Lastly, Fenestella is not responsible for any deliveries stolen or lost in the mail through FedEx or UPS. That includes replacement of items and insurance deductibles involved in insurance claims (we leave that responsibility with the purchaser). But we will happily help in following up with the mail provider and filing a claim.

SCHEDULING YOUR OWN DELIVERY

If you’d like, you can coordinate your own shipping directly with the delivery service of your choice with respect to our available hours by appointment. This requires making all arrangements for pick-up and packaging requirements. Just reach out to us and make that request. And, any carriers you arrange take full responsibility for your product’s condition at the point of purchase.  

Deliveries need to be scheduled within 7 business days of the commitment of sale. Items not picked up within that time frame, without arrangement of additional services, will be given a $50 daily storage fee per item that will be billed upon pickup. Any pieces left for over 30 calendar days will become our property once again, with no credits or refunds issued.

LOCAL PICKUPS

Live in the neighborhood or willing to swing by? Purchased products are easily available for pickup from either our showroom or our warehouse within 7 business days of the commitment of sale. Items not picked up within that time frame, without arrangement of additional services, will be given a $50 daily storage fee per item that will be billed upon pickup. Any pieces left for over 30 calendar days will become our property once again, with no credits or refunds issued. Also, responsibility for an item’s condition is all yours once you pick it up.

DAMAGED GOODS

Sometimes it happens. Here’s how we suggest making sure the right parties handle the damages. We encourage all customers to fully inspect items as soon as they are delivered and before the delivery service providers leave. If a product arrives damaged, please contact us right away and we will immediately begin the claim process. Taking photos of the damage and shipping material will help expedite the process. And we encourage you to keep the original shipping packaging. Fenestella will then file a claim with our third party delivery provider. And again, we are not responsible to provide refunds for any damages, theft, or loss that occurs through Third Party Providers.

ADDITIONAL TERMS 

The kindest of all the reminders: Fenestella is not responsible for any loss, theft, damages and other issues that may arise after the product has left our possession AND that may occur in the shipping or delivery process. We are not responsible to refund, replace, and/or restore any items as such, either. This includes damages that may occur when our staff is assisting third party delivery providers and/or UPS and FedEx services with load in or pick up. We, of course, will guide you in arranging your preferred shipping but the third party delivery providers hold full responsibility for your item once it leaves our doors. Completing a purchase means you, the client, are responsible for any insurance deductibles and insurance claims. 

Speaking of responsibility, third-party receivers take full responsibility for the condition of your product at arrival, excluding any defects documented directly by the carrier.
