Gianni Pareschi ‘Fiocco’ Chair for Archizoom Associati by Busnelli

$3,600.00

The Fiocco chair, designed in 1970 by Gianni Pareschi for the avant-garde design group Archizoom Associati and manufactured by Busnelli, is a striking example of radical Italian design from that era. The chair’s form is fluid and sculptural, featuring a continuous ribbon of red fabric that loops to create a playful yet functional seating piece. The Fiocco chair remains iconic and is celebrated for its innovative design and artistic expression.

Gianni Pareschi is an Italian designer known for his contributions to furniture and industrial design, particularly during the height of the Italian Radical Design movement in the 1960s and 1970s. He is most recognized for his work with Studio Alchimia, where he collaborated with designers like Alessandro Mendini, and for his role in co-designing the iconic “Joe Sofa,” a baseball glove-inspired seating piece, with Jonathan De Pas and Donato D’Urbino for Poltronova. Pareschi’s designs are playful yet functional, often incorporating bold shapes and vivid colors that reflect the avant-garde spirit of his era.

His work has been featured in influential design exhibitions, including shows at Milan’s Triennale and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, where his designs are also part of the permanent collection. His designs continue to be sought after by collectors for their artistic expression and unique historical significance.
