Milo Baughman for Dillingham Mid-Century Modern Walnut Credenza, 1960s
Mid-century modern walnut credenza designed by Milo Baughman for Dillingham Manufacturing Company, circa 1960s. The rectangular cabinet features a streamlined architectural silhouette with four paneled doors, recessed black vertical accents, and a continuous walnut case supported by slender rectangular legs.
The walnut exterior displays prominent natural grain patterns and a warm, reddish-brown finish. Each door features a subtly beveled perimeter, creating geometric depth across the otherwise minimal facade.
The interior provides a combination of storage configurations, including three drawers with contrasting light-colored interiors and a separate cabinet compartment with an adjustable shelf. The original Dillingham manufacturer’s label and accompanying identification tag reading “Natural Oil Walnut Furniture” are retained inside the cabinet.
The credenza exemplifies Baughman’s restrained approach to modern furniture design, combining geometric proportions, functional storage, and contrasting materials.
