Mid-Century Resin and River Stone Side Table Attributed to Arvid Hærem
Mid-century round side table attributed to Arvid Hærem, manufactured by Sola Møbelfabrikk, Norway. The circular top consists of stones embedded in resin, bordered by a brushed steel band. Stones in varied shades of green, gray, ochre, and brown form an irregular pattern across the surface. A hallmark of Hærem's work, the tabletop features unique moraine stones picked from the coastal landscape of Jæren, Norway.
The wood base features four rectangular legs joined by intersecting stretchers. The open construction exposes the wood grain and provides a geometric contrast to the stone composition above.
Sola Møbelfabrikk was a Norwegian furniture manufacturer based in Ganddal. Its mid-century production included tables, desks, cabinets, and modular furniture in teak and rosewood, including the stone-and-resin tables associated with Hærem.
Dimensions: 21.5ʺW × 21.5ʺD × 17.25ʺH
Item Type: Vintage, Antique or Pre-owned
