Poul H. Poulsen (1947–1999) was a Danish designer, ceramic artist, and painter. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, he collaborated extensively with Gangsø Møbler, creating ceramic tile designs that became a defining feature of the company’s furniture. His work is recognized for its abstract motifs, concentric circular compositions, and earth-toned glazes, which were incorporated into dining tables, coffee tables, sideboards, and case pieces.
Gangsø Møbler was a Danish furniture manufacturer active during the second half of the twentieth century. The company specialized in Scandinavian Modern furniture, producing dining tables, storage pieces, and occasional furniture in teak, rosewood, and oak. Gangsø is particularly associated with furniture incorporating ceramic tile surfaces designed by Poul H. Poulsen, combining traditional Danish cabinetmaking with integrated ceramic artwork.
