A ceramic table lamp by Gordon and Jane Martz with a rounded base, tall tapered neck, and matte gray-green glaze. The lamp has a dark wood neck and finial and is signed “Martz” near the base. Lampshade not included.
Jane and Gordon Martz were American ceramic designers who joined Jane’s family business, Marshall Studios, in Veedersburg, Indiana, in 1951. They developed the studio’s line of modern stoneware lamps and accessories. Their work was included in the Museum of Modern Art’s Good Design exhibitions in the 1950s.
Base is 20.5” tall. Finial and harp add 7”.
