Pair of petite “Radar” outdoor lounge chairs designed by Maurizio Tempestini for John B. Salterini, United States, circa 1950s. The chairs are constructed of wrought iron with circular outer frames and expanded-metal mesh panels forming the seat and back. Four splayed rod-form legs terminate in circular disc feet. The chairs have been fully restored and newly powder coated in a textured matte white finish. Two additional full size pairs are available and sold separately.
The Radar series is documented as a Tempestini design for Salterini and was produced as a group of outdoor seating and related patio furniture during the mid-20th century. Period examples appear in several configurations, including lounge, rocking, and cantilevered chairs.
